Camping Safaris
7 days/6 nights: Best of Tanzania Camping Safari
On this 7-day camping safari you will be visiting the
five major northern parks in Tanzania, starting at Arusha
National Park with an option of walking half a day with
a park ranger. The safari proceeds to Tarangire National
Park, the park that acts as the main refuge for wildlife
from the surrounding part of the Great Rift Valley during
the dry season and then to Lake Manyara National Park.
From Manyara the safari takes you to Serengeti National
Park, which is Tanzania's oldest park, and one of the
world's last great wildlife refuges, and finally to
Ngorongoro Crater - a true wonder of the natural world,
famous for its sunken caldera formed over a million
years ago. The crater is inhabited in harmony by indigenous
Masai people and their livestock, as well as a startling
variety of plant, animal and birdlife species.
Accommodation all through is in private tents.
Day 1. Arusha National Park
You are picked up from your hotel and depart at 9.00am
for Arusha National Park with your lunch boxes for a
full day tour of the park, including the option of walking
half day with a park ranger. Drive to Tarangire National
Park for dinner and overnight.
Day 2. Tarangire
After breakfast begin your game drives in Tarangire,
transferring to Lake Manyara at the end of the day.
Dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 3. Lake Manyara
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara Park for full
day game drives with picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight
at camp.
Day 4. Serengeti
Depart Manyara after breakfast for Serengeti National
Park with a game drive en route. After a picnic lunch,
proceed with an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight
at Seronera or Lobo campsite.
Day 5. Serengeti
Full day of game viewing in Serengeti with picnic lunch
in the park. Dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 6. Ngorongoro
Following your morning game drive, depart for Ngorongoro
Crater with a game drive en route and an optional stop
at Olduvai Gorge Museum. Dinner and overnight will be
at Simba campsite.
Day 7. Ngorongoro/Arusha
After an early breakfast descend into the crater floor
for a full day crater tour - departing mid afternoon
for Arusha to arrive early evening.

4 days/3 nights Lake Manyara National Park or
Tarangire National Park Camping Safaris
This is a 4-day camping safari featuring either Lake
Manyara National Park or Tarangire National Park (depending
on where there is more wildlife) as well as the Serengeti
National Park and finally the Ngorongoro Crater. The
crater is a true wonder of the natural world, famous
for its sunken caldera formed over a million years ago
- inhabited in harmony by indigenous Maasai and their
livestock, as well as a startling variety of plant,
animal and birdlife species.

Day 1. Lake Manyara or Tarangire
Departing from Arusha in the morning, drive to Lake

6 days/5 nights Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti
and Ngorongoro Camping Safari
This is a 6-day camping safari that takes you first
to Tarangire National Park, a park that acts as the
main refuge for wildlife from the surrounding part of
the Great Rift Valley during the dry season. You proceed
to Lake Manyara National Park which is is two-thirds
water, one-third dry land and is home to a spectacular
concentration of game for such a small area. The safari
then takes you Serengeti National Park, the premier
wildlife conservation area humbling in the enormity
of 14,700 square km of rolling Serengeti grasslands
studded with wildlife for as far as the eye can see.
Finally, you have a day on the floor of Ngorongoro Crater,
the largest unbroken caldera in the world and which
has been described as one of the great natural wonders
of the world.

Day 1. Arusha/Tarangire
Depart from Arusha/Moshi in the morning after breakfast
and drive to Tarangire National Park with lunch boxes
to start your game drives as soon as you reach the park.
Dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 2. Lake Manyara
After breakfast, depart for the nearby Lake Manyara
Nat. Park with lunch boxes and begin your full day game
drives in the park. Dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 3. Serengeti
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti Nat. Park with
game drive en route. After a picnic lunch proceed with
an afternoon game drive followed by dinner and overnight
at Seronera or Lobo campsite.
Day 4. Serengeti
After breakfast, begin your full day game drives in
the vast Serengeti Park with picnic lunch. Return to
camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5. Ngorongoro
After breakfast , following your morning game drive
depart for Ngorongoro with a game drive en route and
an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge. Dinner and overnight
will be at Simba campsite.
Day 6. Ngorongoro/Arusha
After an early breakfast descend into the crater floor

5 days/4 nights Manyara/Tarangire, Serengeti
and Ngorongoro Camping Safari
This is a 5-day camping safari that starts with either
Lake Manyara National Park or Tarangire National Park
(depending on where there is more wildlife) before proceeding
to the two main northern parks in Tanzania, namely Ngorongoro
Crater and finally Serengeti National Park, Tanzania's
oldest park, and one of the world's last great wildlife
refuges. Serengeti is contiguous with Kenya's Masai
Mara Game Reserve and stretches as far as Lake Victoria
to the west. (Its name comes from the Masai word Siringet,
meaning 'endless plains'.)
Accommodation all through is in private tents.
Day 1. Lake Manyara or Tarangire
Departing from Arusha in the morning, drive to Lake
Manyara or Tarangire National Park with lunch boxes.
Proceed on a game drive on arrival. Dinner and overnight
at camp - either Mto wa Mbu or Tarangire.

After breakfast depart from your campsite and proceed
to Serengeti Nat. Park with a game drive en route. Dinner

4 days/3 Night Selous Game Reserve Camping
Safaris
4 days-safari to Selous Game Reserve, the reserve that
boasts one of the world's largest populations of elephant,
and some of the last remaining black rhino. Accommodation
at Rufiji River Camp where boat trips and sport fishing
facilities are available.
Day 1. Depart from Dar es Salaam ,
early orning drive to Selous arriving Rufiji River Camp
in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the reserve.
Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp
Day 2. Full-day game drives with picnic
lunches. Return to Rufiji River Camp for dinner and
overnight.
Day 3. Early morning pre-breakfast
walking safari returning to camp for late breakfast.
The rest of the morning is at leisure. Afternoon boat
safari on the mighty Rufiji River. All meals and overnight
at the camp.
Day 4. Another morning game drive at
the reserve, departing after an early lunch to drive
back to Dar es Salaam.
