Day1: Arrival from Arusha or Moshi
Transfer from Arusha or Moshi to your lodge at Lushoto town — lunch at lodge — afternoon relaxation at hotel or short sightseeing tour through Lushoto — dinner at hotel
Day 2: Irente Farm and Biodiversity Reserve
Breakfast at lodge — visit Irente View Point from where you can look almost 1000m down to the Maasai plains — visit Irente farm and biodiversity reserve where fresh cheese from locally produced milk is made — lunch at the farm — visit the ancient village of Kwenbago from where the royal Data family once ruled the region — dinner at lodge
Day 3: Kwa Mongo Mountains
Breakfast at lodge — drive to Soni and trek to the highest peak of Kwa Mongo mountains which are famous for its great variety of colorful butterflies — picnic lunch break — visit Shashui and Kwemula village right on your way — descend to Magila village at the foot of Growing Rock to visit a soil conservation project and learn why the rock is growing — return to the lodge — dinner at lodge
Day 4: Kwembago village / Magambo Forest Reserve
Breakfast at lodge — trek up hill to the village of Kwembago where you can learn about the rich history and culture of the ruling Kilindi family — enjoy the thrilling panorama overlooking the Maasai plains — lunch picnic break — enter Magamba forest reserve that features some of the last pristine coastal rainforst in Tanzania with good chances to spot black and white colobus monkeys — head back to Lushoto and pass the old German school at Magamba village — dinner at lodge
Day 5: German Jaegertal and Vuli village
Breakfast at lodge — walk through the fertile farm land of former German Jaegertal — visit a fruit tree nursery where you can learn about the large variety of local fruits and vegetables — lunch break — continue your treccking tour up hill to Vuli village where you can learn about soil conservation and irrigation projects and local farming methods — return to Lushoto via Arboretum — dinner at lodge
Day 6: Catholic Montessori mission Ubiri
Breakfast at lodge — take a short walk to the Catholic mission of the Montessori Sisters in Ubiri — for lunch taste locally made cheese, wine, and jam and learn all about its production — return to Lushoto — dinner at lodge
Day 7: Transfer back to Arusha or Moshi
Breakfast at lodge — transfer back to your accomodation in Moshi or Arusha — lunch break on the way
