Day 1: Arrival - Arusha
Karibu Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), our safari staff will greet you and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha. Settle into Pazuri Inn, where you can relax and prepare for the adventure ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore Arusha town, visit local markets, or simply unwind at the lodge.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Overnight at Eileen’s Trees Inn
After breakfast, your safari begins! Travel to Tarangire National Park, famous for its towering baobab trees and large elephant herds. The Tarangire River draws countless animals, especially during the dry season, making it a hotspot for wildlife sightings. Lions, giraffes, buffalo, and an incredible variety of birds also call this park home. By evening, head to Eileen’s Trees Inn, a charming lodge surrounded by lush gardens.
Days 3–5: Serengeti National Park – Overnight at Kontiki Mobile Camp
Spend three unforgettable days exploring the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, home to Africa’s greatest concentration of wildlife. Depending on the season, you may witness the breathtaking Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Your base, Kontiki Mobile Camp, offers the perfect balance of comfort and wilderness, letting you fall asleep to the sounds of the African night. Over these days, enjoy game drives across the park’s sweeping savannas, granite kopjes, and predator-filled landscapes.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Overnight at Eileen’s Lodge
Today you descend into the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s most stunning natural wonders. Often called “Africa’s Garden of Eden,” the crater floor hosts a remarkable density of wildlife, including the Big Five. Enjoy a full-day game drive before heading back to Eileen’s Trees Inn for a relaxing evening.
Day 7: Fly Arusha → Zanzibar – Overnight at Aluna Nungwi Beach (FB)
After breakfast, catch a short flight from Arusha to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, transfer to Aluna Nungwi Beach Hotel, located on one of the island’s most pristine stretches of coastline. Enjoy the turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and a tranquil setting that perfectly contrasts with your safari adventure. Dinner and overnight on full board.
Day 8: Beach Relaxation + Jozani Forest & Spice Tour – Overnight at Aluna Nungwi Beach (FB)
Spend the morning soaking up the sun or swimming in the warm Indian Ocean. In the afternoon, visit Jozani Forest, home to the rare red colobus monkeys, and explore Zanzibar’s famous spice plantations, where you’ll learn about the island’s centuries-old spice trade. Return to Aluna Nungwi Beach Hotel for dinner and a relaxed evening by the ocean.
Day 9: Stone Town Tour – Overnight at Sea Cliff Resort (FB)
Journey into the cultural heart of Zanzibar – Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through its labyrinthine streets, marvel at intricately carved doors, bustling markets, historic mosques, and ancient Omani architecture. In the evening, transfer to Sea Cliff Resort, where you’ll enjoy luxury, ocean views, and another night on full board.
Day 10: Transfer to Zanzibar Airport – Departure
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Zanzibar International Airport for your departure flight. This marks the end of your Safari & Zanzibar Escape – a journey that has combined the best of Tanzania’s wilderness with the exotic charm of its islands.
